Consultant, Productivity/Entrepreneurship & SME Development

Salary: 123

General Purpose of Position:

This position is responsible for providing business solutions to clients in key speciality areas of Productivity & Quality Improvement, Business Excellence, and Entrepreneurship & SME Development. The incumbent will be expected to conduct productivity diagnostics and identify organisations’ productivity performance gaps, refine business efficiency and effectiveness, develop core quality foundation and turnkey business processes. Involves working with growing medium-sized enterprises and building SME capacities and capabilities, design and formulate SME eco-systems and initiatives at enterprise, industry and national levels.

Summary of Responsibilities/Duties:


  • Deliver end to end system life cycle development of major consultancy projects
  • Work on multifaceted projects including, but not limited to Productivity Management, Business Excellence and Entrepreneurship Development that demand strong analytical, creative problem-solving, effective communication and strong interpersonal skills
  • Develop and implement the strategies  of  the  new  Enterprise  Development
  • Responsible for conducting research, developing project methodology, developing consulting instruments (questionnaires, surveys etc.), analysing and interpreting data, drafting recommendations and reporting results
  • Draft business/project/tender proposals based on preliminary data gained from client interaction and/or Request for Proposals (RFPs), Invitation to Quote (ITQ) or other tender documents (GeBiz, etc.)
  • Provide project analysis, project area assessment, user needs analysis and business systems design for major projects
  • Keep abreast with standards and developments within the various consulting solutions areas to stay informed and ahead of the competition

Client Engagement

  • Maintaining close working rapport with clients and fulfilling all requirements to their full satisfaction
  • Liaising with other departments for consultingrelated duties
  • Presenting a professional image in conduct, attitude and attire when engaging with clients

Ancillary Support

  • Provide effective support to the Consulting team (Managers and Senior Consultants), delivering quality research in projects that meets best practice in a timely fashion
  • Prepare documents for all proposal submissions

General Duties

  • Any other duties, as assigned by the Management


Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in analytics, business, economics, financial, engineering related specialisation
  • Have at least 2 - 3 years in Productivity/Entrepreneurship & SME Development
  • Certification in Lean Six Sigma, ISO9001 Auditor, and/or other productivity and quality related frameworks would be an added advantage
  • Certification in management consultancy (eg. PMC, RMC), though not essential, would be an added plus
