Business Development Executive / Manager (depending on experience)

Location: City Hall Area (Stamford Court)



Responsibilities


-        Has overall responsibilities for new business development

-        Identify new market sectors and opportunities for development

-        Conduct research into new products (technical, production, pricing, demand, supply, competitive landscape)

-        Attend trade conferences

-        Maintain regular communications with industry players to keep abreast of industry trends

-        Prepare proposals and presentations to management for new product development

-        Work with R&D team on developing new products

-        Work with production and project team on producing new products

-        Source for supply of raw materials and for demand for new products

-        Obtain regulatory approvals and accreditations for products

-        Establish new sales channels in various geographical markets

-        Work with sales team to promote and drive sales growth of new products

-        Work with Production and Quality Control departments on achieving required product specifications

-        Work with Production and Logistics departments to coordinate production and delivery/shipment schedule

-        Assist in developing pricing strategy

-        Conduct regular market research and analyses to stay ahead of demand, supply, competitive and pricing trends




Requirements


-        Business Degree or Engineering Degree

-        Minimum 5 years of experience in business development, commercial or technical sales role in downstream segment(s) of the edible oils industry – oleochemicals, specialty oils & fats, esters, surfactants or emulsifiers etc. 

-        Proficient in MS Office applications especially Excel

-        Dynamic, self-motivated and persevering

-        Possess strong business acumen

-        Possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills

-        Possess excellent communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills

-        Demonstrates strong sense of initiative with the ability to work independently and as a team player

-        Meticulous and takes strong pride in the quality of one’s work

-        Results-oriented and able to abide by tight deadlines with a strong sense of responsibility
