Head Chef

The head chef is the first-in-command in the kitchen and is generally in charge of all food production.

  • Develop new menu items and recipes when necessary in line with menu concept and restaurant direction
  • Work with management to achieve monthly and annual targets.
  • Supervises and administer the kitchen operations to ensure correct procedures are adhered to in daily food preparation.
  • Support Café brand standards through the training and assessment of the kitchen crew
  • Monitors the quality of food and strive for high productivity in line with the objective set and established by the management.
  • Ensure that health and safety legislation and guidelines are implemented, adhered to and reviewed regularly, in respect of kitchen production, employees, machinery, equipment and hygiene
