Lead Full Stack Engineer

Salary: 5000

As an engineering lead within one of our product engineering teams you, working with your team and product owner, will be responsible for imagining, building , deploying and running one or more of these products. You will own the future of this product, ensure its quality, and get to see the results of your efforts in peoples everyday lives. You will help us in selecting and developing a team of talented engineers, helping them continually grow both technically and personally, guiding the architecture of the products and ensuring your team delivers world leading best practice engineering practices in building products loved by our users.

Some of your responsibilities include:

  • Helping to recruit & develop a team of world class engineers
  • Working with your team and product owner to help refine and develop the product direction and implementation
  • Ensuring your team creates quality, scalable, maintainable code.
  • Ensuring all code is thoroughly covered by automated test and that all features meet quality checks before deployment
  • Deploying, monitoring, maintaining and fixing products in production
  • Guiding the constant improvement of practices and processes in the team
  • Driving a team culture of collaboration, quality, accountability and most importantly fun!


  • Multiple years of professional experience in a similar role developing high quality software.
  • Previous experience in leading teams of at least 5 people
  • Experience in mentoring, growing and developing people
  • Experience in at least one of the following languages (Golang, Java, Closure, Kotlin, iOS-Swift) and excited to learning new languages/technologies.
  • Experience in lean/xp development methods (TDD, Pair Programming, Kanban, Continuous Integration/Delivery).
  • Any DevOps (Infrastructure as Code, Build pipelines, monitoring etc) experience would be highly regarded.
  • A curious mind - you always want to learn new ways of doing things and are open to new suggestions and considering all the options.
  • A collaborative open attitude to working - you love discussing challenges with your team and coming to a common consensus in how to solve them. You don’t have ego and are happy to admit when you are wrong or don’t have the best idea. You are not afraid to challenge ideas and embrace being challenged on yours.
  • A passion for quality and best practices but with a pragmatism that understands the balance between perfection and delivering value in a timely manner.
  • Good written and spoken English.
