Repair Development Engineer

Salary: 1500.00

Singapore Component Solutions has plans to develop over 380 repair capabilities within the next 3 years in its brand new Component workshop in Singapore. The Repair Development Engineer is in charge of capability development of the workshop.


  • Analyze OEM documentation and ensure their transcription into internal process and methods
  • Check all regulation requirement for component repairs
  • Study and develop new internal repair capabilities
  • In charge of technical documentation update and broadcast to workshop.
  • Develop methods process to ease production
  • Ensure applicability of Engineering support in IT system M3
  • Make reliability study about repairs and develop reliability reports
  • Develop or make development of new bench test in front of technical requirement defined on documentation
  • Analyze new requirements and constraints
  • Design & specify test environment with offer evaluation and supervise the manufacturing process
  • Manage corrective action during Test Manufacturing process
  • Define and manage industrial means sourcing and necessary toolings for shop development
  • Put at disposal documentation for workers utilization (CMM, SB, etc..) for all equipment in ¬†workshop capability.
  • Warrant conformity of working method and process in front of official documentation
  • Ensure availability of tooling and technical resources needed
  • Ensure availability of ingredient for working technicians needs
  • Evaluate cost for technical resources
  • Identify cost reduction solutions
  • Be the main technical focal point on some technological developments
  • Organize meeting to assess performance and feedback in case of non-compliance with objectives or delay in the Implementation
  • Implement procedures to improve reliability of component repaired in-house
  • Answer to technical questions


  • Diploma/Degree in Engineering or equivalent
  • Technical background in the aeronautic field
  • At least 4 years experience working in a engineering or development area
  • Very good knowledge in electro-mechanics and in electronic
  • Knowledge of aviation industry (OEM, regulation, maintenance protocols) is a plus
  • Document/archive management system oriented
  • Knowledge of technical documentation usedhouse (Service Bulletin, OEM documents, CMM, IPC, etc)
  • Office software (Word, Excel) and ERP (M3, SAP)
